Food is an important basic necessity, its procurement, preparation, and consumption is vital for the sustenance of life. However, disease spread through food are common and persistent problem results in appreciable morbidity and occasionally in death.
Foods can become harmful to human health or even fetal when combined with bacteria, viruses, molds, parasites and chemical toxins.
The food safety issue is now become a public health issue in developing countries and is a fundamental element. The economic growth of the developing nations seems to be solely dependent upon food safety. However, evidence suggest the current food safety status of resources limited countries to be highly unacceptable and distressing.
Poverty appears to be the primary indicator for engendering food safety issues in poorer societies
Pakistan is the sixth most populated country in the world and most population of Pakistan is poor. Safety status of Pakistani foods is highly hazardous as a wide range of food products especially street-vended foods have been found to be chemically and microbiological contaminated that is the reason many of the Pakistani population is suffering from many fatal diseases
As a student of food science and technology so I think this is an issue and I should try to provide safe food to the community of Pakistan which is not able to purchase safe food due to poverty and also give awareness about the hygiene of food
